Frequently Asked Questions

The Bristle Blaster is a hand-held 'blasting without grit' surface preparation technology. It combines the ability to produce an abrasive blasted finish with the high mobility and flexibility of a portable hand-held tool. It is THE feasible solution for maintenance in confined and hard-to-reach areas. It’s easy to operate and removes the need for enclosures, reprocessing or disposal of grit.

Poor surface preparation is stated as the biggest factor in coatings failures. With proper training, you will ensure the surface is Bristle Blasted to the correct standard, and prepared adequately for the application of your coating.

It is a combination of classroom theory and practical hands on session. A presentation overview of the Bristle Blaster Machine is delivered, covering correct method of operation, an overview of consumable items and their operating life. Training also covers an overview of ATEX Zone 1 approval and what this means, and an overview of HAV (Hand Arm Vibration) adapter and what the analysis means to operator. Delegates will then receive a practical hands on session (10 mins operation). This is guided, supervised and observed by a Cactus Industrial trainer to ensure that the operator is familiar with the correct use.
The operator will be required to undertake an examination at end of training session. On completion of the course operator is issued with Bristle Blaster Awareness training certificate.

The course duration is 2 to 3 hours

We limit delegates to a maximum of 6 people for an Awareness Training session.

If we are delivering training on your site, we will require access to a classroom with projector / screen; full PPE (as a minimum: grinding visor or goggles each operator); test material for practical demonstration; Min 110v, 240; Air Supply 120 PSI
